A wellness oasis in your garden, built without concrete.
The Bio.design system is an Italian-patented pool construction technology that replaces concrete shells with a flexible, reinforced lining and natural finishes. The result is a swim pond that reflects the landscape around it: no chlorine smell, no harsh chemistry routine, and water that behaves more like a lake than a traditional pool.
Patented construction, natural result.
Instead of poured concrete, Bio.design pools use a reinforced structural membrane and a carefully engineered combination of quartz finishes and polished pebbles. Water circulates through biological and mechanical filtration, so the system stays clear without the heavy chemical load of a conventional pool.
No concrete shell
A flexible, reinforced lining forms the pool body, allowing organic shapes that follow your land.
Natural finishes
Quartz coatings and polished pebbles line the interior, so the pool looks like stone and water, not tile and plaster.
No chlorine
No chemical smell, no bleached swimsuits, no red eyes, no daily chemistry routine.
Low running cost
One efficient circulation system instead of heaters, chlorinators and dosing gear.
Landscape integration
Freeform edges, planted zones and natural materials let the pool settle into the yard instead of sitting on top of it.
Four-season presence
It looks intentional in November, which a covered pool never does.

What a Bio.design pool is, and isn't.
It is the most beautiful water we build. It is also the one type that asks something of you.
- The water is alive
- Expect a soft green tint in high summer and some algae film on the stones. That is a working ecosystem, not a failure.
- It needs room
- The planted regeneration zone and natural edging take real square footage. Small lots are usually better served by a fiberglass or vinyl pool.
- Seasonal care, not weekly chemistry
- Cut back plants in autumn, skim leaves, rinse the filter bed. No test strips.
- Longer build
- Twelve to twenty weeks, because the stonework, lining and planting are the pool.
Proven worldwide, built locally.
Bio.design pools have been installed in more than 2,000 projects around the world and have earned industry recognition including awards for best public swimming pool and best eco-friendly pool. We build the system here in Berks County under the same standards.

The service I’ve received from Blue Lagoon Pools has been nothing short of amazing. Laurie Robinson has been instrumental in the planning and execution of the project from start to finish. Her customer service has been superb. If you’re looking for work or an installation then ladies and gentlemen look no further. Highly recommend
They were friendly, professional, and on time. They even went the extra mile on special needs that arise. Pool looks great.
Very pleased with this company! We had such a pleasurable experience meeting and going going over all of our plans with Laurie Robinson. She provided excellent customer service. Todd Kline the owner was also very amazing to work with and extremely helpful when we had any questions after pool was finished. The Crew who installed the pool. From start to finish they let us know what was going on each day and watching them work was awesome. Blue Lagoon did an outstanding job on our pool, concrete also looks amazing! I want to thank you all for turning out back yard into a fun place for our family to enjoy! Our children loved watching the entire process. We still need to do our landscaping but I’d like to share a few photos of the pool. Thank you again for everything. I highly recommend choosing Blue Lagoon Pools!!
