Tanning ledges & sun shelves
A tanning ledge — sometimes called a Baja shelf — is a shallow platform inside the pool. It gives you a place to lounge in the sun, stand and talk, or let small kids splash without leaving the water.
Shallow water, real use
Most ledges run seven to eight feet long at minimum and sit around twelve inches deep. That is enough depth to stay cool while reading or chatting, but shallow enough that young children can stand safely and adults can dip their feet without committing to a swim.

Built right into the pool
A vinyl liner tanning ledge is formed with polymer or steel walls and covered in the same liner as the rest of the pool, so the finish is seamless and the shelf becomes part of the shell.
Sized to your layout
Length, width and depth are tailored to the pool. Add a sculptured curve, a full-width end shelf, or a narrow side ledge — whatever fits the yard and how you plan to use it.
Safe entry options
Nonslip steps and railings can be worked into the ledge design so you get a graceful entrance without giving up lounging space or clean sightlines.
Tile & mosaic accents
Use tile banding or mosaic insets on the ledge face or waterline to add color, texture and a custom detail that reads clearly above the water.

The liner sets the color of the water. Filter by the mood you want, from pale and tranquil to deep and dramatic, and we will bring physical samples to your yard.
Swatches are photographed flat. Water depth, sunlight and surrounding stone all shift how a pattern reads once the pool is full, so judge the final choice from samples on site.

A typical 15 x 30 ft vinyl liner pool starts around $60,000. Benches, sun shelves, a deeper hopper or a more complex shape and design can move that into the low seventies.
